A simple method for the determination of N1-methylnicotinamide in urine.

چکیده
N1-methylnicotinamide (MNA) is found in urine as an assymilation product when administered as nicotinic acid or nicotinamide. MNA was extracted from urine as a pure product and its physicochemical properties reported (4-6). Its maximum adsorption is reported by Hochberg, Melnick, and Oser (4) to lie at 265mƒÊ, E1cm1% 265mƒÊ=258 at pH 9.7. It is stable in urine in the dark for one week, even in decomposing urine.
